Green Initiative:
All Cleaning Service has had a green initiative for many years. Our slogan "The Cleanest Carpets... The Safest Detergents... Guaranteed!" has been with us since our inception. This has been a key focus of my company since about 1997 when we became aware of the highly toxic ingredients found in most all detergents on the market (even today) and the enormous amount of waste generated in everyday living and business operations.
We began by switching over to a much safer product called "Grease Eraser", which was the safest product on the market at the time, extremely effective, and dried to a crisp, vacuumable residue if not completely extracted. We continually tested this product against others on the market, but none could beat it (even the most hazardous of products would not "out-clean" this product, let alone the "Safe Products". The search continued until 2 years ago, when we discovered a product called Fiber Glo developed by Biokleen, (a company that makes a complete line of cleaning products for residential and commercial use). This product is for all particle purposes, completely non-toxic to Humans and the environment & it has stood the effectiveness test by working equally as well as Grease Eraser & was also non-residual with a couple of key advantages. 1. This product contains no Phosphates & 2. This product has a much higher co-efficient of friction (meaning that it is much less slippery when applied to hard surfaces, thus greatly reducing slip and fall hazards to Technicians and Customers). Fiber-Glo does not have any synthetic fragrances. The lime scent detected during application is pure lime extract. We were so impressed with this company and its products that we decided to carry them at our web store "The Green Chalet", where we sell eco-friendly products for living in harmony with the natural world.
The stain protector that we utilize is no only the safest of its kind, it is also the most effective one on the market (absolutley out-performs Scotchguard and Teflon). Every base ingredient in this product has been certified GREEN. We discovered this product during one of the many tests we've performed in our shop. We are constantly testing our products against others to make sure that we are using not only the safest, but the most effective detergents available. You would likely be surprised to find out how many claims made on product labels are completely false, i.e. non-toxic, effective, safe, all natural, non-residual (non-sticky), etc. These words mean little or nothing when on labels. This is why we TEST.
Unlike other cleaning companies, we do not offer environmentally responsible cleaners as an option, we use them on every job!
When scheduling our clients, we attempt to service multiple customers in the same area each day, to reduce total vehicle emissions from travel. Also, we heat our garage/warehouse with 90% waste-veggie oil, and keep the area heated to only 50*F during the winter which further reduces our carbon footprint by approximately 80%. Since our our garage/warehouse is built on an uninsulated slab, and the walls and ceilings have been super-insulated, the ground naturally heats and cools it for us.
We also invest a lot of time into re-using and recycling everything that we can. We've installed low-flow water jets on our carpet cleaning wands to reduce water usage. In addition, our truck mounted "Extreme Steam Extraction" machine works very efficiently so it does not have to run very long during each job to get it done right. The Ave. fuel consumption is 2 gallons/job. Lastly, our extraction machine uses a heat exchange system utilizing the engines wasted heat energy to heat our cleaning solutions. This eliminates the need for a separate propane burner.
